Metallica headlined Lollapalooza Brazil on March 25th and pro video of the full set has been posted!
The band's 'World Wired' tour will include a stop at Vancouver's BC Place on August 14th.
Fromer Boston drummer Sib Hashian (pictured center) passed away suddenly on March 22nd.
Hashian appeared on Boston's self-titled debut album and it's follow-up, 1978's 'Don't Look Back'. He was 67 years old.
Late rock 'n' roll pioneer Chuck Berry's first new album in 38 years, 'Chuck', will be released on June 16th.
The album includes 10 songs, eight of them written by Berry. Chec out the first single, 'Big Boys', above!

Paul McCartney has posted the original demo of 'My Brave Face', which he wrote with Elvis Costello.
The demo will appear as a bonus track on the remastered and expanded edition of his 1989 album, 'Flowers in the Dirt', which comes out on March 24th.

CROWDFUNDING FOR BOWIE MEMORIAL
Some David Bowie fans have launched a crowdfunding campaign to build a three-story lightening bolt statue to honor the late music legend.
The statue, whose design would be similar to the iconic cover of Bowie's 1973 album 'Aladdin Sane', would be located in his home town of Brixton, south London.
'THE LAST FIVE YEARS' COMING TO HBO
HBO announced that they will broadcast the documentary 'David Bowie: The Last Five Years' sometime this year.
The film includes interviews with Bowie and his collaborators, footage of the making of his musical 'Lazarus', as well as his final two albums 'The Next Day' and 'Blackstar'.
The exact broadcast date has not been revealed yet.
NEW WATERS COMING
Former Pink Floyd member, Roger Waters, has announced the tilte of what will be his first album of new material in 25 years.
There is no release date set for 'Is This The Life We Really Want?', but Water's Facebook page promises that the album is "coming soon".
No doubt, it'll be worth the wait.
Deep Purple have posted a promo video for their forthcoming album "InFinite", which comes out on April 7th.
The band recorded it last year in Nashville with legendary producer Bob Ezrin.
Deep Purple will be hitting the road with Alice Cooper and Edgar Winter Group for a late summer tour. The Only Canadian date so far is Toronto on September 2nd.
R.I.P. JOHN WETTON 1949 - 2017
Bassis and singer for Asia, John Wetton, has passed away at the age of 67 after a battle with cancer.
Wetton's carreer included stints with King Crimson, Roxy Music, Uriah Heep and more.

Bon Jovi is holing a contest to choose bands or singers to open for their upcoming tour!
Artists can upload videos of themselves performing original music, and promoters Live Nation will pick 10 finalists. Bon Jovi management will then choose winners from the finalists to perform 20 minute sets.
An EP of David Bowie's final recordings has been released to mark the late singer's 70th birthday on January 8th.

BOWIE FOR CHARITY
A large crowd of David Bowie fans convened in London on Sunday night (Jan. 8) for a charity concert to celebrate the late artist's legendary career.
The show included performanced by past members of his touring band. Other guests included Bowie's close friend, actor Gary Oldman and Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott.
The three hour show was backed by the LondonCommunity Gospel Choir and a string section.
THE JOSHUA TOUR
U2 has officially annouced a stadium tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their Grammy Award winning album "The Joshua Tree"!
The tour will include a stop at Vancouver's BC Place on May 12th! Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, January 17th!

The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger has become a father again at the age of 73.
Jagger welcomed the birth of his son with his girlfriend, 29 year-old American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, in New York earlier today (Dec. 8).
The as-yet-unnamed baby boy is Mick's 8th child, and is younger than his great-granddaughter.
He's already a great-uncle. Wrap your head around that one!

The Assembly Of First Nations honoured Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie in Quebec yesterday (Dec. 6) for his work on Reconciliation.
The Assembly gave a very emotional Downie a star blanket and he participated in a naming ceremony. He was given the name "walks with the stars" in the Lakota language.

Canadian Music Week will honour RUSH as the 2017 recipients of the Humanitarian Spirit Award this coming April.
A potion of the prize is a $40,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
The band have decided to give it to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital.

An angry letter from John Lennon to Paul and his then-wife Linda McCartney following the breakup of the Beatles has been put up for auction.
Although undated, it's estimated that it was written in 1971, shortly before Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono moves to the U.S.
It's expected to fetch more than $20,000.
The Bad Boys from Boston are calling it quits. Aerosmith have announced the first series of dates for a 2017 farewell tour.
